Deal Pier & Beachfront 
 
Visible from The Clarendon, Deal Pier is a significant local landmark and is a must for any avid angler or fisherman with regular angling competitions held throughout the fishing season.  A cafe at the very end of the pier offers uninterrupted views across The English Channel towards France. From the end of the Pier, glance back at the colourful and eclectic array of seafront houses, restaurants and shop fronts for a truly cosmopolitan feel.

Deal Castle
 
One of the many impressive castles in the surrounding area, Deal Castle was built during the reign of Henry VIII and has a unique tudor rose shape when viewed aerially.  It is easy to spend a day discovering one of the finest artillery castles on the English coastline.
 
 
Walmer Castle
 
Another in the line of castles built under the command of Henry VIII, this castle is rich in heritage and history. There are many well-known historical characters who have taken residence within the castle, including Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports and the Duke of Wellington. In recent years, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was a frequent visitor of Walmer Castle. Spend a day exploring the castle and its 8 acres of magnificent grounds and gardens.
 
 
Dover Castle
