Deal Pier & Beachfront 
Visible from The Clarendon, Deal Pier is a significant local landmark and is a must for any avid angler or fisherman with regular angling competitions held throughout the fishing season.  A cafe at the very end of the pier offers uninterrupted views across The English Channel towards France. From the end of the Pier, glance back at the colourful and eclectic array of seafront houses, restaurants and shop fronts for a truly cosmopolitan feel.
Deal Town Centre
Winner of The Telegraph’s High Street of the Year award in 2014, Deal offers a diverse range of shopping from the larger chains to an array of one-off retailers.  With the bustling market every Saturday offering local produce, bric-a-brac and other tempting wares, Deal is certainly a shopper’s haven.
Deal Castle
One of the many impressive castles in the surrounding area, Deal Castle was built during the reign of Henry VIII and has a unique tudor rose shape when viewed aerially.  It is easy to spend a day discovering one of the finest artillery castles on the English coastline.
Walmer Castle
Another in the line of castles built under the command of Henry VIII, this castle is rich in heritage and history. There are many well-known historical characters who have taken residence within the castle, including Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports and the Duke of Wellington. In recent years, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was a frequent visitor of Walmer Castle. Spend a day exploring the castle and its 8 acres of magnificent grounds and gardens.
Dover Castle
One of the most iconic castles in English history, from its founding in 12th Century, it has helped to protect our shores from invasion. Adults and children alike will enjoy climbing the tower and visiting the secret wartime tunnels.
Twinned with Honfleur, Sandwich reflects similar medieval architecture with its ancient buildings, nature reserves and quaint harbour. There are many delightful country pubs, cafes and restaurants and a good selection of shops to browse around.  Sandwich is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in England and is a principal Cinque Port.
